Where to start…1st the Bride reminded me of Maureen O’Hara…a strong, deep beauty.
You capture her unique grace so well. The wedding had such a simple, earthy elegance…
and the guys on the railroad track were perfect.

This was a very beautiful wedding and the way you captured it is amazing. God bless you for that talent you have of beautifully capturing what is to me, one of the most important days of one’s life! Beautiful! Very intimate. I wrote down my favorites but I think I used the wrong numbers (slide #’s vs image#’s). You have a perfect rembrandt lighting on image 464…………very beautiful! Everyone seem to have a lot of fun too.

Very nice! ryc, yeah its not really cold here. Still in the 80′s during the day. Its actually nicer than summer. Summer can be hot. This is the best time of year to also because the whales coem around and the surf gets insane!!!

What a great job! the first two tracks of music are some of my favorite songs of all time. Anna and the King has a great soundtrack! Looks like a great way to end the year, and what a year it has been huh? hehehe

You’re off until May…..? I’m so envious!!! I seriously need a vacation… one that doesn’t involve working AT ALL….!!!! That is so cool that you and your kids are going on a photographer’s cruise. Again…. so envious!!!! I hope to see you at WPPI this year… we don’t have as many commitments there so maybe we can get together for our breakfast. It would be nice to meet your kids! How awesome that you get to hang out with Jayden everyday. He’s so beautiful and getting so big….. too fast! I love the photo of him with Uncle Brian. You all have such a blessed life!!!! I love that you share it with us!

I absolutely love these!!!!! Very nice use of foreground and the compositions are great! Love the colors too! I actually love everything about this shoot. You definately have a knack for engagement shoots. All couples should have you do them. One of these days I would love for you to do one of Dean and I. I would want one just like this one.
We are posting up a sneak peek of our bride from our last wedding of the year! I loved the freedom I had with this bride! She was such a delight and being a photog herself maybe added to her ability to be so workable. Plus she was such a beauty of simplicity and poise....

anyway…. yes, Digi-labs, is what i was looking for. I’m having a hard time transitioning from my current $30 per year for “Hosting & Credit Card Charging & Print Fulfillment” to $40 per month for the same… but my $30 per year site is poor quality so i need to switch…. i’m just suffering from sticker shock right now.

Hey! Thanks for stopping by! As always I love your photography…it seems so original and individual… even when you employ similar poses…. I have to guard my heart against lack of contentment by looking at other peoples wedding pics, however….. getting ideas is one thing but lamenting over what we can’t have just isn’t helpful!!!!! ooh i love that pose!! =) i feel completely the opposite about photographers… a lot of photog i know make horrible models.. it’s like they can instruct ppl to do things but when it comes down to them having to do them… they don’t do it well! haha

Beautiful photos! I can’t wait to see the rest. I love the fall and how photos come out during the fall season. I wish more brides got married during this season but I guess the weather is too unpredictable. So are you going to do a big canvas of the last photo? That would look really nice in your house. You should enter that photo into WPPI.
Now I need to catch up on your xanga so I will be back. Of course Jayden in the post below just looks adorable.

The bottom photo is TOTALLY INCREDIBLE!!! I think that would be a great photo for the paintings. I can’t remember what you called them. It would be a great photo for ads too!! It reminds me of desperate housewives opening.

Mark, thanks for business card tips. My understanding is, the NY market is very specialized. I can’t market myself as a wedding AND portrait photographer, or wedding AND family. I have to pick one or the other. Since I am just starting out. I’m kinda taping into each market and seeing where I land. I’m currently aiming at the portrait market but I seem to be getting more and more requests for wedding. I used to turn down weddings but I need the work right now. Anyway… I consider my card as my first contact. My first sample of work. My web the second, and my book my third. (most customers don’t even want to see my book) So my card is my first impression. And besides, it’s a photograph so I can print all I want, and change them as much as I want.
And thanks for the clothes tips. Black seems to be the wedding uniform of choice. I wanted to throw a splash of dark color in there but maybe I won’t. I found some interesting comments here: http://photo.net/bboard/q-and-a-fetch-msg?msg_id=00KwBY
