Looks like you had a fantastic Christmas! Can’t wait to see your New Years photos. LOL!!! Ha… I laughed when I read your Facebook comment about Mark loving his Wii. So do all the boys in my house. We all have such a great time laughing our butts off with it. Bowling is about the only game I can play and beat my 11 year old son. My mom and I played the darts game and almost pee’d our pants laughing so hard at each other. Same with air hockey. It’s so silly stupid it’s ridiculous! LOL!!!! I’m so glad you all had such a blessed Christmas!!!! Much love to the Lydell family! ~ Dawn

Loved the face’s that Jayden was makeing he is so cute and funny. This slide show brougt tears and laughter. I realy needed that.  It looked like your little dog was makeing a face too. And Brian was makeing some cute faces too.  You sure do have a great loveing family there.  God Bless you all. I’m going to go and watch your slide show again before I get off of here.

All of the pictures are just beautieful oh the other one of my fav. is the boat at dock with the lights on the bridge love that one too.  Thanks so much for shareing those wounderful pictures.

@mommyfish - Its funny our City of Roseville tree is all purply blue too. Yes, it was so much fun to shoot for fun. Tomorrow Mark and Brian get back to work on our last wedding then we can really break. Should be done and ready to post by the end of the week.

@MJ10554 - I love that Capitol tree it was really gorgeous but it was cold and we didnt want to park and walk up to get a better shot since we were on our way home. But I am glad to get this shot anyway. Glad you got to come along with us to visit our fair city. How was your Christmas? I gotta stop in and visit soon!

Beautiful. That first wedding dress looks like a mound of snow. And we have Joe’s Crab Shack’s here. The founder, Tillman Fertita, lives in Houston.

@lydellphoto - The original Joe’s Crab Shack was on Richmond Avenue in southwest Houston. But there are now 120 locations in 28 states, according to their website. There are 4 that I know of in the Houston area, but one of them was in Kemah, and was destroyed by Hurricane Ike. It’s about 30 minutes from us. Fertitta also owns several other chains like Landry’s Seafood and Saltgrass Steakhouse. Here’s a site that shows the places he owns:

Other interesting news on him and his family: He is a member of the Maceo family that came over from Sicily (to Louisiana) and moved to Galveston in 1910. They were into bootlegging and ran an illegal gambling place, in addition to restaurants and other businesses. One famous place was just destroyed during Hurricane Ike, called the Balinese Room. It was on a pier in the Gulf of Mexico.

I never made this connection until a few minutes ago….there was a Galveston County Sheriff’s Deputy who was head of the beach patrol in Galveston for 40 years, named Vic Maceo. He was the great-grandnephew of the original Maceos who ran the Balinese. So he was on the right side of the law, while his ancestors were on the wrong side.

Probably more than you ever wanted to know about Tilman Fertitta and his family.
