@mommyfish - ON MY WAY!!!! Seriously that is so sweet of you! If we could work (edit) our 2 weddings we have on deck and hang out with you we would so be there!!! We actually have our A/C going with 3 fans for the heat and a really good air purifier cleaning the bad stuff…as long as we stay indoors we are good.

How is your son doing? How incredibly proud you guys must be!!! Oh Mark is on your site right now watching your video! I gotta go watch it!!

It is so miserable here! Even with all the fans and air conditioning on, it is so hot to work in. I canceled my outdoor shoots this week due to this. I also saw the other incredible photos of the fires in your photo section of xanga………..WOW! These last few nights haven’t even cooled down.

I’m so glad to see these shots — I had been wondering whether something had happened to my camera that all my photos seemed to have a brownish tint to them — haha — I think it’s that invisible haze of smoke that’s coming from all over the state! Goleta fire is closest big one, but the air is flowing around in huge circles and coming back here on its way around. That heat looks nasty — I hope it’s not one of those years that you set records for # of days over x, y, and z degrees up to 120 (I was there in the late 80′s when that happened one year. Stay indoors and stay cool! Janet

this really gives a visual of what you are going through. i pray the fires end and the those who battle it, will be safe.

the thermometer is incredible! it will be in the 90′s here today. i thought that was hot!

@robinone - Hi Robin! It is actually very cool this morning…I should get a shot of my thermometer this morning. And the clearer skies have prevailed. Still not 100 % but much better! I am actually a bit chilled with all the fans going and the doors open it is probably 70 in here….and mydeck has a real nice southern breeze that is blowing right into my house via the patio door. Its lovely…I think we are coming down into the 90′s this week after triple digits even yesterday…One good thing about those temps is that it makes me appreciate the 90′s…lol

Delivery from Italy!!

@nedved21 - Thanks! It was jsut a photo of them sitting together on a deck with her veil behind her. I couldnt resist a shot of that!

@MJ10554 - Its an album that we design and upload to Italy and they print and bind it and ship it back. We always order a brief case to give it to them in to preserve their book. We love this company, glad you like it. Oh and thank you, that profile pic was taken on our anniversary at La Provance Restaurant a french restaurant…ooolala!!!

Our 4th of July!

We had a great weekend for the 4th – After finishing up the slideshow for Michelle & Erik we took off a couple days for a well-needed rest. Nothing but sleeping in, laying around, eating and relaxing! Our friends Ned & Donna with their son Phillip were over for the weekend.Kerri worked like crazy this...

@lastoriafoto - Hey girl! We had such a relaxing time I cant even tell you how wonderful it was. Except now we are dealing with 102 degrees with a thick blanket of smoke smothering us. We cant go outside because the air quality I have been dealing with a sore throat since yesterday. We have so many fires burning in Ca. that you really cant go anywhere to get away from it!

Sounds like you guys had some great fun!!! We are about 1.2 hrs away from The Calaveras Frog Jumping County made famous by Mark Twain. We go there once a year to visit Angels Camp and go wine tasting and attend the outdoor Shakespeare plays they put on up there. It is sooooo awesome!

Take some nice deep clean breaths for me!!!:eek:

Great fireworks photos!! And… what a lovely feast! I really miss the quality of salmon I could get there. (It is just not the same here in the south.. I don’t know why either.)

I will never forget the fresh caught “ling cod” we cooked over a fire while camping in Mendocino… Oh my gosh it was the best fish I had ever eaten in my life and all we did was baste it with butter and lime.
Forgive me, when I saw your pictures I got carried away with California Food Memories…

I’m so sorry you’re going through all these fires and smoke again this year. Wasn’t it bad in your area last year too? I’m taking some really deep breaths for you all and saying my prayers this all goes away soon.

I would love to come with you to the Calaveras Frog Jumping County, omg my daughter would freak out. She loves frogs! We had so much fun diving into the river and mud driven swamps looking for frogs last weekend. It was totally hilarious! We were total freaks, screaming like little girls. Too funny!

Hang in there!!!!!!! I’ll be thinking of you all and hoping you get some clean air soon!!!!

@lastoriafoto - haha you made me laugh just imagining you screaming like little girls…!! Yes, we did have alot of fires last year but now it seems to be completely out of control! I never realized how many lightning strikes we take.

Yes deep cleansing breaths!!! I wish we could get in the car with our laptops and find some place to go to get out of the smoke but its everywhere! Even Tahoe! We would have to leave Ca to get out from under this.I am getting cabin fever!

Enjoy those memories they are so precious!

I was going to write and see if the fires are impacting you but it looks like they are. Hope they’re able to control all those fires quickly. We go through fires every year as well so I know what you’re going through. If you don’t have air purifiers…invest in some (Honeywell as some great ones).

oh brother…that’s ridiculous. The scary thing is…that might not have been the couple’s hired photographer..he was probably just a guest. At least he wasn’t using a cell phone…gotta give him that much. But jeans? At a wedding? He should call his business Cheap Shot Photography.

Mark & Kerri, the new site looks really good. Nice new look on the blog as well. I’m moving my blog to http://www.jeffmasonphoto.com/blog. It was time to move on. Ha! Yeah!! You are right about the other video. That one was probably the one where there were a few of them and they were buzzing around like bees and the music they used was flight of the bumble bee I think. Also one of them dropped a lens hood and it made some noise during the ceremony. It was so distracting!
