I learned how to do calligraphy in high school, although mine could NO way compare to hers, lol, but it’s still nice when my mother asks me to write something in calligraphy for her! It’s that nice EXTRA touch as related to personalization!

Have a great Halloween girl! We are taking Ms. Mercedes out! Will try to post pictures if camera does not have an attitude, again, lol. Ms. Mercedes, awhile back, got the camera off the dock and took like a gazillion pictures of everything from our cats to our house to funny faces of her, lol. We have some where she held it in front of her and stuck out her tongue, made faces, lol. What a clown she is! Not surprisingly, the camera now is on the blink, rofl. I figure she pushed each button a gazillion times or more, rofl! But such is life, lol

Oh that is so funny. Keep those pictures and make a little book out of them for her. :sunny:

Jayden is growing up with a lens stuck in his face so much we think he must think G’ma and G’pa are really canon lenses…

I tried calligraphy as well but like you just for very personal stuff, nothing I charge for…it helps when you have nice handwriting/penmanship, I think.

Hi KerriI love this image of Mark’s Mother working on her calligraphy – and the light is just beautiful. Mark’s Mother is certainly is talented isn’t she. No wonder you can’t wait to see the finished result. Hope the rain held off for you so that the reception could be held outdoors, and thank you, I am enjoying our Spring weather. Mind you, it’s a little bit hot here too, 31 degrees celcius yesterday but still nice since there was a cool breeze blowing. Have a great weekend.

Why dosent Mom move out here so she can be with all of her family and grandkids?:lookaround: Shes small and dosent need that much room and you can have her business blend into your photography biz too.

@Borelfoto - she has a wonderful life and makes semi annual trips here. Her 2 boys live here but her daughter lives in Texas so it isnt like Sacramento wouild be the perfect place for her to live. Would we love it for her to be here, yes!!! But she has a full life out there. I think if you had just said what you wrote in your last comment it would have come across more like what you were hoping it to sound like. :love:

@Borelfoto - Thats why Mark doesnt drive at night. That is the result of his botched eye surgery…he is okay if he has his glasses on but he didnt have them that night. Thanks for pointing that out for everyone.:rolleyes:

A fun weekend in Jackson, California!

We had a rare weekend off recently and took time to go to Preston Castle (previous post) to finally get some long awaited shots. It was the last weekend they were doing their tours before they shut it down for the winter…so glad we took the time. Afterwards we headed into Jackson for some lunch...

I love the ride up to Jackson — and what a quaint little place. Used to have friends who had a guest cottage in the mountains above there! I didn’t realize how much Chinese influence there is there…

@MJ10554 - no it isnt a ghost town but when they put in a new bypass freeway in the area it caused alot of traffic to drive right by them. Some feel it was a blessing and some feel it will kill their town.

what neat pics!! I LOVE JACKSON!!! we met MY Mark’s brother there a couple of yrs ago…. quaint little town.. and yes it’s quite little compaired to where I live now..

@Shutterbugd - Did you check out all the other little towns as well? We have a timeshare in Angels Camp and travel through alot of these towns. They are quaint! Lots of antique shops and old fashioned candy stores, etc. Just alot of fun.

Preston Castle @ Ione, California

@jondacrafts - Thank you! It was kinda a spur of the moment thing. Which kinda worked out great since we have a feature in a magazine coming out next month and today was our deadline for the copy and photos so that worked out really great. I would have hated to come up with the new logo after the deadline and have to see the old stuff when it came out!

@mommyfish - You had me there for a split second…till I saw who it was! I was bracing myself for someone to not like it cause it wont be everyone’s cup of tea. But I was dreading the downer…:lol: Thanks for liking it!!! LOL!!!:love:

Oh yeah and 6 cords of wood!!!! You are gonna have some arms when you get done with that job! That is CRAZEEEEE! We buy those little wrapped guys from Safeway…that is about as much hard work we do around here….you guys are studs!
